Professional Experience:
Oleksandr Petrov has been practicing law for over 17 years, and he has been actively involved in dispute resolution for more than 14 years, successfully representing clients at all levels of Ukrainian commercial and administrative courts and the Supreme Court of Ukraine. Prior to founding ArsLegem, Oleksandr was a managing partner at the Ukrainian boutique law firm SP Partners. In private practice since 2003, Oleksandr has been occupying partner positions for more than 12 years. He began his career as an in-house lawyer and for a number of years he was head of the legal department at a large Ukrainian company involved in food production.
Oleksandr successfully represented in courts and state bodies the interests of large transnational and Ukrainian corporations and organization, in particular, International Air Transport Association (ІАТА), Citibank, Philip Morris, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Cirque du Soleil, Gedeon Richter, Cargill, IDS Borjomi, Multi, Renaissance Capital, British American Tobacco, Gan & Lee Pharmaceutical, Lafarge Group, Algol, Onduline and others.
Among Ukrainian clients who rely on and cooperate with Oleksandr, you may find companies involved in the growing and processing of agricultural and livestock products, dairy and food production companies, real estate companies and many others.
Furthermore, Oleksandr has vast experience of working in the area of regulatory and licensing procedures with such state bodies as the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, National Bank of Ukraine, National Commission on Securities and Stock Market, etc.
Oleksandr also actively participated in the work of advisory committees with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and National Commission on Securities and Stock Market. He is also a participant of numerous practical forums, seminars and conferences.
